A Squidoo lens to be more specific. Squidoo.com offers users the opportunity to create a page about any topic of interest and share links, photos, earn money, and more. While I do not claim to be an expert with the ins and outs of Squidoo it is worth sharing with you.
Here is a lens I created about Arlington Heights, IL, the town I live in. As time goes on I will continue to add links to sites about Arlington Heights or to sites that are for places, employers, events, shopping, restaurants, and things to do in Arlington Heights.
Why would I spend the time to do this? Simple answer is that it’s an easy way to build links to my Arlington Heights real estate website. Now if I just want some simple cheap easy links sure I can just put up a garbage page that has no value and link to my site, but why not go one step further.
By taking the time to make this page a true resource the goal is to drive real traffic to the page, get others to link to the page as a resource, and just maybe in the end it might drive some traffic to my real estate site. Now these goals might be a little optimistic, but traffic comes from all sorts of places and my next buyer or seller just might be lurking in Squidoo.
So do you have a Squidoo lens yet? (If so please include a link to it)
