Here’s a very simple way to make a lot of it go away. Four major credit bureaus used in the united states routinely sell your credit information to other companies so that they can determine what sort of credit offers to send to you. By filling out the letter below or calling the number listed below, you can stop the bureaus from selling your information to marketing companies. It’s called opting out. It will make a lot of the junk mail regarding credit card offers, home equity loan offers, and other firm offers of credit go away.
You can call 888-567-8688 and opt-out of all four bureaus with one simple phone call or you can send letters. Be sure to send your letter to ALL four credit bureaus if you go that route. I think the phone call is better, though. You can be done with all 4 bureaus in less than five minutes, plus you don’t have to put any sensitive information in the mail.
