The open directory project or dmoz.com is a human edited directory. The descriptions from the ODP have been used by msn.com for listings and in many cases are outdated or contain errors. MSN.com now gives a way for webmasters to control this and remove the ODP descriptions.
So in your Web page you’d put
meta NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOODP”
or
meta NAME=”msnbot” CONTENT=”NOODP”

To bad msn doesn’t just say the heck with ODP as it’s purpose has been long outlived and has no value in ranking or categorizing websites. Maybe that will be the next step.
