Here is another directory that uses a CGI script to link to everyone that is in their directory. If you want a link from them they want either a link back or $150 per year for a featured spot. Keep your money and go out and buy something you want as this link will have no value to you.

You are seriously trying to defend using a script that hides the links from the search engines by saying that my directory is empty? One has nothing to do with the other.
And your excuse about click fraud makes no sense as you don’t charge those listed in your directory per click, it’s a flat $150 fee. The reason for the CGI script is to hoard PR and make it so your site has only oneway links pointing to it.
As for our directory, it isn’t open for submissions.
Hiding links from search engines is cheating customers out of what they are paying for, PR. I wouldn’t pay anything or even consider exchanging links with a directory that is using such practices.
Also, there comparing the WebNewsForUs directory, which isn’t open for submissions yet, with one that is using cheating tatics is a not a fair comparison, IMO.
Interesting. Comparing a directory that charges $150 per year that gives you absolutely no SEO value to a site that has an empty directory that charges nothing in return and isn’t open to submissions at this time…. I’m guessing Warren owns the scam directory and is upset someone is calling the kettle black. Click fraud? GIVE ME A BREAK. CGI scripts are used to make links non-spiderable by se’s. No where on that directory could I find any reference to signing up under a pay per click option, so there is no ‘click fraud’ issue. There are plenty of legitimate directories out there that will give you a spiderable link for less money. I have to agree with Ken, spend your money elsewhere.
You must have missed this part in the FAQ,
“Will listing my site in the uscity.net directory improve my search engine rank?
We make no claims about search engines. Uscity.net is a directory to help people find your website. Our directory was not built to improve search engine rank and we have no idea if your listing in the uscity.net directory will improve your ranking. ”
That’s as truthful as it gets.
it also states:
“The links in our directory are not for Search Engine Optimization purposes. If this is your reason for linking, then please do not link in our directory.”
The directory was built with cgi links, years before there was a term SEO, or PR.
You should not be writing bogus blogs and advising others about things you know nothing about.
So you claim that was your policy back when this post was written? Try again, see all I had to do was go to archieve.org to prove you just lied to everyone. Those items you listed are not part of the FAQ from when the post was written, nor where they part of it when you last posted in March of ‘07. This is a recent addition to your site.
Here is the proof FAQ from 12/31/05
So if you have changed your tune and now tell everyone that your directory doesn’t have any search engine value that is fine, but when this post was written it was 100% accurate. Actually your attempts to cover up what you are really doing just prove that you know it is wrong and you are cheating people.
First you claim the CGI script about click fraud and now that you had a FAQ that didn’t exist. Which is it? …I am sure you will come up with a new reason that you use CGI scripts in a few months and we can do this all over again.
BTW, everyone if you feel that USCity.net would actually send you traffic then they would be worth $150. The only reason they got reviewed in the first place was there had been a number of real estate agents that thought that the link was worth having for SEO value. These agents asked me to look at the links they had been giving from their homepages and that is when this site came into question.

uscity.net is a great directory. They use CGI scripts to prevent click fraud to their partners. It looks like YOUR empty directory at webnewsforus.com/real_estate/, this blog, and your negative post about uscity.net have no value to anyone. How would you know what has value, your directory speaks volumes.
